Strae is a mirror-image of Chaliam, being a trading city on the edge of the Desert Lands, but within the Southron Empire. Trade passes between the Southron Empire and the desert dwellers, as well as from Strae to the Northern Kingdom.

Strae hosts an arena as well, although far more brutal than the one in Chaliam. The arena contains an ever changing maze of traps within it; prisoners and captured beasts are sent within to die. It is said that if one survives for a full day within the maze, they would be awarded their freedom and a noble title, but none have ever succeeded in living that long.
