In the northeastern-most region of the Northern Kingdom, near the Border mountains, lies the Dwarf fortress Northeight. During the civil war that sundered the Northern Kingdom from the Southron Empire, the dwarfs requested permission to establish the fortress in this location for their agreement to assist the North. The North agreed and the dwarfs quickly commenced construction. Every few months, a contingent of dwarf warriors is sent from Freilund to the fortress, to relieve the warriors there.

The dwarfs allow visitors who’ve applied at the dwarf embassy in Cyrene but permission is rarely given. Most visitors describe halls and apartments that are beautiful and severe. It is said that the dwarfs train their warriors there as well as mine deep into the mountains, but none other than the dwarfs know for certain.
